We all long for comfort and sometimes have the mistaken belief that when we are comfortable we have found the favor of God, and there are times that is true. However, what is true all the time is when we are in affliction, for the child of God, we are most certainly experiencing the favor of our God.
As promised a little insight into beginning our daily prayers. I have found it helpful to begin my daily prayers with a time of unburdening my soul by having a short time of Confession, Thankfulness, Worship and Intercession. Find out why I endeavor to open each devotional time with, "Thank You Jesus for this beautiful day." We all stimulate one another to love and good works.
Confession is commanded. Confession is natural for the redeemed of Jesus Christ. And, actually, confession is good for our minds, bodies and souls. Critical ia confession.
In every prayer, lengthy prayer in the Bible, we find Confession, Worship, Thanksgiving and Intercession, and or supplication. Find the definitions of each element, and some beginning insights into implementing them in your daily prayers.
Two prayers asking for the exact same thing, and answered in the exact same way. When we are open and honest before God, 3 are as good as 60. And you can take that to the bank, or better yet, take it to your heavenly Father. Critical to our well being here one earth is the knowledge that we can take everything to God in prayer.
Bowing before God, is born from humility, and is a privilege for us. We have complete access to the throne room of heaven. With these things being true, we approach God with the respect due His name.
