Our minds and hearts soar as we read of "Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets," and we think of how gloriously God worked in and through them to accomplish His will and would love to be numbered with them. Among life's greatest blessings are the people who give us moments of joy, encouragement, and wisdom; they lift our souls by their very presence. When we are discouraged or tired, or sad we find the energy for our souls in His word. God tells us to Rejoice, which does not have to be born of happiness. God tells us to Pray without ceasing because we have access to the throne room of the Holy God of the universe. God tells us to give Thanks in everything for all things are His servants, and He is working for His glory, and our good to conform us to Jesus our Lord and Savior. Food for our souls.

An introduction to intercession. After a brief review of Confession, Worship, and Thanksgiving, we see the place of Intercession through Andrew Murray, and Charles Spurgeon, and two unassailable Bible passages. Intercession displays our love and our faith.

As you begin to pray or work toward a consistent prayer life, you have only one concern, and that is the same concern every believer has every where, at all times, and that is talk to God, every day, even if it is just for a little bit, talk to God!!! Your prayer life will change and grow and mature, if you begin and make a habit of prayer. Therefore give yourself room, but know He hears you and longs to have you pour your heart out to Him. A quick devotional on the Gratitude I have for all of you who listen, and to the Lord for His mercies on the Free Range Preacher on Prayer podcast.

All I can think to say of this episode is Jesus is not playin'. He would like to have a conversation with us, and introduce us to the joy of eternal life. Prayer and your Bible are the means to that conversation. Begin to pray if you have not expecting God to answer.

I love the word of God, it is for us an encouragement, an exhortation, a rebuke and forever a profound insight into the God of the universe, and often it is all four at the same time.
