God promised a son from the union of Abraham and Sarah. God was fully faithful in His promises. In the process, He protected Abraham even from himself. We can take great comfort in our God and His care for us. Take heart fellow Christians, God is working.

When the New Testament speaks of the life of Abraham, his life is viewed in the big picture, not individual snapshots. Our comfort comes to us as we consider all our days, not just the worst ones.
