Free Range Preacher on Prayer podcast, Prologue: Introductory Episode

Long-time listeners will not be surprised by this, but we have a twist. We are making an estuary of season 8 and season 9. Explanation in the episode.

There are seven passages of scripture I would love my grandbabies to memorize. They have anchored my soul for most of the last 30 years; without them, I would have lived in hopelessness. The passages:

Hebrews 6:20

1 Corinthians 15:10a

Psalm 139:13-14

Thessalonians 5:16-18

Genesis 50:20

John 17:3

Once again, I prove I can't count, six passages!

Our So What?

As you might think it a worthy activity. (And I pray my grandkids do.) Consider these passages and think of the hardest times in your life. Meditate on how they might have been different if you had memorized these verses.

"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass." 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

Brethren, let us pray for one another.
