Season Seven, October 2025, October 8: Who is the King of Glory? - The Holder of Our Hands.
On a recent walk, I passed a little girl with her mom (going out and back). The first time, she was a few feet away as I walked between them. The child was apprehensive. On the way back, she was holding her mom's hand. She smiled at me, waved, and even told me a little story. (In Baby talk)
Why the difference in demeanor?
"For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, 'Do not fear, I will help you." Isaiah 41:13
"The steps of a man are established by the LORD; And He delights in his way. 24 When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand." Psalm 37:23-24
"The LORD has disciplined me severely, But He has not given me over to death." Psalm 118:8
Our So what?
We have many fears, but God holds our hands, knowing that His goal for us is to be conformed to the image of His Son. When we are disciplined, what sincere communion flows from us?
"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen"
1 Timothy 1:17
