October 2020 Devotional of Thanksgiving - …but Rather Giving of Thanks
"in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
2 Thessalonians 5:18
Instead of fearing circumstances which are unexpected, but rather give thanks because God is in control.
I will not gossip about those I know or only hear about but rather give thanks they are in my life for a divine purpose.
I will not focus on those who I disagree with, but rather give thanks, for God will give me the words the right words, which may be used as seeds to eternal life.
I will not take my own revenge, but rather give thanks for God is in control, and He will bring justice.
I will not worry about my weaknesses, but rather give thanks for I can say, "I am what I am by the grace of God."
I will not dwell on nor gloat over others' weakness, but rather give thanks for them, even praying to come alongside and help.
The expression of gratitude to our God is a divinely powerful weapon in taking captive every thought to the obedience of Christ.
