Today, being sincere is an import from Jesus and His conversation with the woman at the well in Samaria.

When she answered, "I have no husband," she was not honest with Jesus. His answer, "you have well said" in the passage did several things, but for her it was shown, Jesus was the one with the answers, and for us it illustrates, we are not only honest with God.

As we desire honesty from one another in conversation, God desires truth in our close communion with Him. (Even though we know He knows)

True communion is sincere communion.
